For this edition of Meet Frontdesk, we sat down with Carolina Martinez, Senior Project Manager and Designer. Carolina began at Frontdesk 2.5 years ago and during that time, has taken on various job duties and truly exemplifying our core values of “clean the toilets” and “own it”. Prior to Frontdesk, Carolina worked in various fields including Amazon photographer and ophthalmic technician. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities and different restaurants, cooking, hiking, biking, shopping, and spending time with her dog.
Tell me about your role and what you do here at Frontdesk?
From As a Senior Project Manager and Designer, I go to different markets and build out the cities to get it started up for the city manager. This covers everything from design documents, making sure city managers know what to order, handling the logistics for the moving company, organizing furniture in storage, and making sure all supplies and furniture needed are ordered. Once the units are staged, I also work with the photographers to ensure they know what to shoot and shoot it correctly.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Getting to visit different cities and explore new places.
Favorite Frontdesk city?
Phoenix or Scottsdale
What has been your biggest learning experience since starting at Frontdesk?
Being adaptable, sometimes you have to do things you don’t want to do or that aren’t in your job description. Being a team player and adapting to any change possible.
What advice would you give to others in your role?
Always be ready for anything! Especially for project managers, you never know where you’re going to live next. You could be in a city for a few weeks or a few months so it’s good to always be ready to go!
